Introducing Krav Maga Boot Camp

The Boot Camp concept started out in responce to the sheer volume of requests for further training and courses. Trainees outside of our area could not access regular lessons but wanted to to be involved in our training programme. We soon attracted trainees from all over England, Wales, Scotland, Europe and one from the United Arab Emirates. We quickly realised that there was a real demand for affordable, high quality, professional Self Protection courses. To date we have run 5 courses - 4 sold out in less than 2 weeks. People wanted practical self protection skills in a short period of time. We gave it to them. So far, they have wanted more. So trainer Paul Grey, wrote the Boot Camp programme ofering a range of themed weekends addressing real situations, real threats.

We teach real Krav Maga, the simple proven fighting system as used by the Israeli Forces.

We also came to realise that what people wanted was not another "Self Defence Course" but a complete training experience. Something that addressed fear, human behavious and provided a tactical approach to addressing a dangerous situation.We scheduled our first camp which sold out within 2 weeks and went Krav Maga Boot Camp started by popular demand has become the Uks leading intense Krav Maga training camp. Boot Camp is an exciting Reality Based Boot Camp designed to build confidence and real self protection skills. Boot Camp is not another self defence course. Trainees immerse themselves for 2 days intense self protection training.

What do I get from doing a Boot Camp ?

Essentially a Boot Camp provides the opportunity to earn self confidence, develop tactical awareness and apply practical self protection skills in a range of settings. Our trainees have told us that at the end of the weekend they gained more realistic experience of conflict and force on force training than they had previously gained from quite literally decades of martial arts training.

Boot Camp evolves - Level 2 Advanced Boot Camp

What we had not expected was the interest from people who had attended one Boot Camp wanting to repeat courses or do more courses. So in responce we wrote and are now starting to deliver more advanced training via Level 2 Boot Camps. Level 2 Boot Camps are open to existing Krav Maga students and individuals who have completed a Level 1 Boot Camp. Level 2 courses assume that trainees have basic combative tools (striking, punching, blocking ability) and tactical awareness as provided in Boot Camp.

What is covered in a Level 1 Boot Camp?

Each Boot Camp is themed and may cover different techniques or scenarios but all level 1 Boot Camps will cover the following basic principles.

How it feels to deal with a real aggressor.
The most appropriate non physical tactics and techniques to use to de-esculate the situation.
When to use force - what is minimal force and how to decide
Tactical issues - understanding the real risks, weapons, multiple attackers the environment
Combative strikes - blocks and escape trechniques.
Self First aid

Around this template will be a specific theme, sush as edged weapons, or multiple attackers, dealing with street robbery etc

Trainers are sensitive to the needs of inexperienced or nervous trainees who gain particular benefit from this training.

Trainees will cover the strategies, tactics and techniques needed to avoid becoming a victim and how to most safely deal with potential. You'll learn how to identify potential assailants and then learn specific skills to stop potential attackers. Then trainees will apply their training and tactical skills in realistic scenarios.
